(Edmonton, AB - August 20, 2009) - Alberta has a new reason to celebrate in August, as the dust settles on the inaugural year of Canada's Biggest Hunting Festival, HUNTFEST 2009. After clearing out the Twin Rinks at the River Cree Resort & Casino, staff, exhibitors and attendees alike can look back and celebrate a huge success for the hunting industry.
Over 12,000 people attended the first time event, from locations all across Canada. Whether it was to check out the on-site hunting experts such as Ralph & Vicki Cianciarulo, Cody Robbins, or Les Johnson from Predator Quest, to stop by the Cooking Demo Stage for a tasty sample from Hunt.Fish.Cook and the Game Gourmet, or to just browse through the latest gear from the top names in the industry, there was plenty for everyone to see!
The ATV track gave a chance to ride along in the latest models and Parkland Bowbenders Archery Course was packed all weekend, putting over 700 kids through the practice lanes. Chris David and the guys from Hunting Chronicles; Jason & Kevin Spenst and Lain Roth rounded out the Speakers Stage line up.
"Feedback from everyone, including the public and our exhibitors was overwhelmingly positive, it was everything we could have asked for in a first year show." said Shaun Vlodarchyk, Show Manager for HUNTFEST. "Our phone has been ringing off the hook with companies, clubs and celebrities who want to come on board in 2010."
When asked about rumors of the show going cross-Canada, Shaun gave HUNTFEST and Wild TV fans something to look forward to. "There is definitely potential for this event to go nationwide, with a strong possibility of multiple cities for 2010. Keep watching Wild TV to see the latest updates this fall."

Many of the deer represented in this collection remain in private collections and are not available for public viewing.

Each of these exceptional trophies are mounted on pedestals that rotate 360 degrees for complete viewing of the antlers.
Coupled with museum quality taxidermy, custom-built lighting, and biographies on each deer, it creates a very dramatic and memorable attraction.

Come and meet the members of the Parkland Bowbenders, dust off your bow and brush up on those skills before the real thing!
Complete with a 3D target area, practice lane, and children's archery lane, the Parkland Bowbenders
Target & 3D shoot is going to be one of the most popular events on site.
The range is open to public shooting for a nominal fee (practice lane complementary) and will give
attendees an opportunity to try out some of the newest gear firsthand. Wild TV will be giving out prizes all
throughout the day as well, so you might get lucky!
SATURDAY NIGHT SHOOTOUT
Bring your bow down for the Saturday Night Shootout
When: Saturday, August 15 @ 5pm
What: SHOOTOUT! Compete to show off your skills support your local charities and win cash prizes!
Entry fee is $20 with prizes to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place, as well as prizes for every 10th place finish.

Trailrunners K9 Training Center trains dogs for clients.
They have a large indoor training facility that is used year round. At HUNTFEST, they bring their training onsite
with demonstrations every 2 hours during the three days of the event. They will show everything from the training
of puppies, all the way to the Master Hunt dogs. They'll even be bringing the sling shot they use to 'torpedo'
birds for the dogs to retrieve.
ATV Test Drive Track
ATV dealers from all over the province are bringing their newest models out to show what they can do.
The days will be packed with off roading demos, test drives, stunts and more!

(Edmonton, AB - August 20, 2009) - August in Edmonton will never be the same with the introduction
of HUNTFEST 2009, Canada's Biggest Hunting Event, sponsored by Wild TV.
Taking over the Twin Rinks at the River Cree Resort and Casino, and over 6 acres of outdoor space,
HUNTFEST is looking to set the standard as a true hunting festival. With over 100 of the top brands in
the industry displaying every product a hunter could need, outside archery lanes to try the latest bows,
4x4 mudpit and test drive track, Wild TV celebrities speaking on the hottest topics, topped off with a
host tent and live bands, HUNTFEST gives every Canadian hunter the opportunity to let loose and get
ready for the 09 season.
